The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has raised Alert Level 4 over Mt. Mayon after the volcano spewed a 10-kilometer high ash column at noontime today, Monday.

The Philippines raised the alert level for the country's most active volcano twice in 24 hours Sunday, meaning that a hazardous eruption is possible within days.
