The Sorsogon Provincial Health Office announced that a pregnant woman from Pilar town has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

A couple from Pilar, Sorsogon became the first two cases of coronavirus disease in the said town.

State auditors gave a failing grade to the municipal government of Bombon in Camarines Sur for its failure to convert its open dumpsite to a sanitary landfill, among other violations of the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act.
