Camarines Sur Gov. Luigi Villafuerte paid tribute to his late lolo, former Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Villafuerte, during the latter’s recent birth anniversary.
In a Facebook post, the governor said his grandfather was one of his greatest inspirations for becoming a public official.
His lolo’s journey had been a guiding light for him. He was also inspired by his grandfather’s dedication to the people of Camarines Sur.
As he serves the people, he carries with him his lolo’s legacy and spirit, he said.
The governor also said his family has opened the LRV Gallery of Arts and Culture in Balatas, Naga City, which features the ingenuity of our local artists, to commemorate the patriarch’s legacy and years and his years of public service.
