Naga Councilor Joe Perez will be screening candidates for the Miss Bicolandia pageant, and he shared the qualities that the judges are looking for.
In a Facebook post, Perez said the finalists in the pageant must be confident, head turning, glamorous, eye-catching, stylish, charismatic, and affable.
They must be role models off stage and show stoppers on stage, he said.
But they judges are not just considering the contestants’ outer appearance.
The finalists must also have depth, purpose, drive, integrity, emotional intelligence, and ambition to be an active and successful title holder who will represent the region, he said.
Who will make the cut?
“MISS BICOLANDIA. Like in other beauty contests, our candidates from whom we shall be choosing the 20 finalists must be: confident, head turning, glamorous, eye-catching, stylish, charismatic, affable, a role model off the stage as much as a show stopper on the stage.
But in our screening process this morning, the focus is on the person — not just the look. Overall, we are looking for a role model with depth, purpose, drive and integrity with facial beauty, a good physique, emotional intelligence and the ambition to be an active and successful title holder that all represent her beloved region — Bicolandia!,” Perez posted.
