Calapan City has been chosen as the first Learning Hub for Enhanced and Revitalized Nutrition (LHEARN) by the National Nutrition Council. Mayor Malou Morillo announced the development.

“Napili ng 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗠𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔 ang Lungsod ng Calapan bilang kauna-unahang 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗟𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡) sa buong MIMAROPA; kaugnay nito, isinagawa ang orientation para dito nito lamang ika-4 ng Mayo,” the city government said.

“Malugod na ipinahayag ni City Mayor Marilou Flores-Morillo ang kaniyang pagkumpirma at pagsang-ayon sa pagkapili ng Lungsod ng Calapan bilang unang LHEARN sa buong rehiyon ng MIMAROPA,” it added.

According to Morillo’s office, that the project is a capacity building platform where local government units may share their best practices when it comes to nutrition programs.

“Ang Learning Hub for Enhanced and Revitalized Nutrition (LHEARN) Project ay isang 𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚-𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎 kung saan magkakaroon ng pagbabahagi ng mga kaalaman at karanasan pagdating sa nutrition program management ng mga Local Government Units,” said the mayor’s office.

“Ito ay bahagi ng 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗡𝗖 para mapagtagumpayan ang 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟳-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮,” it added.
