POLITIKO - The bible of Philippine Politics.
Camalig Mayor Caloy Baldo has spearheaded the distribution of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced Workers (TUPAD) pay out in Brgy. Salugan.
According to the local government, TUPAD beneficiaries were comprised of unemployed and disadvantaged residents who have been initially identified as eligible for said program.
A total of 417 beneficiaries received said cash assistance amounting to P5,110 each.
TUPAD beneficiaries rendered road-clearing, beautification, and other relative clean and green efforts during the 14-day working period.
“Rooted from the initiatives of the Department of Labor & Employment (DOLE) and Albay 2D Congressional Office headed by Albay 2nd District Representative, Hon. Congressman, Joey Sarte Salceda, TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance implemented purposely to provide emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed, and seasonal workers especially sectors severely-affected by the impacts of the easing up yet still-ongoing pandemic,” said Baldo’s office.
