Despite the oil spill affecting several towns in Oriental Mindoro Gov. Bonz Dolor said tourists are still welcome in Puerto Galera.
In a Facebook post, Dolor said the advisories of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Department of Health pertained only to swimming and diving activities in Puerto Galera.
But he said Puerto Galera has more to offer.
It has mountains, falls, beautiful sights, delicious food, and a rich culture including that of the Mangyans.
Tourists may also continue to ride yachts, glass-bottom boats, and enjoy the shore, he said.
There’s more to Puerto Galera than the beach!
