Albay Governor Edcel Lagman said that the province will soon form a partnership with a private sector vehicle and coordinator for disaster resilience.

Lagman shared that he held a meeting with Philippine Disaster Resiliency Foundation (PDRF) officials.

“Many good things in store for Albay with the PGA’s eventual partnership with Philippine Disaster Resiliency Foundation (PDRF),” said Lagmana.

“Thanks for the wonderful insights PDRF Pres. Rene Meily, its Chief Resiliency Officer sir Bill Guillermo Luz and chief supervisor Erwin Tolentino,” he added.

Lagman noted that the PDRF is the Philippines’ major private sector vehicle and coordinator for disaster resilience.

“As an alliance of businesses dedicated to building the disaster management capabilities of the private sector in the country, it works on all areas: prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response, and rehabilitation and recovery,” said Lagman.

“Apsemo Pdrrmc needs all the help from the private sector. In April, we’ll visit again for possible MOA signing with Dr. Cedric Daep and PPDO’s Yob Onrubia,” it added.
