Gov. Socrates joins symposium on gender sensitivity, mental health

Palawan Governor V. Dennis Socrates has graced the symposium on gender sensitivity and mental health for women as part of the celebration of the Women’s Month.
The said event dubbed as Usapang Palaweña: Women’s Symposium was spearheaded by the Provincial Gender and Development.
“Sa unang bahagi ay nagbigay ng mensahe sina Gob. V. Dennis M. Socrates at Provincial GAD Head Richard Winston Socrates na nakatuon sa mga ginagawang programa ng Pamahalaang Panlalalawigan para mapalakas ang sektor ng kababaihan sa lalawigan,” said the Palawan PIO.
University of Asia and the Pacific Professor Dr. Antonio Torralba sereved as the resource speaker.
“Ang role ng mga kababaihan sa paghubog ng komunidad ay mahalagang bigyang pansin dahil dito ay maipapakita nila ang kanilang full potential bilang babae and it is also a way to reduce discrimination and gender bias,” said Dr. Torralba.
Meanwhile, Ms. Devie Mae Navarro from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office discussed the importance of mental health.
