Camalig LGU honors those behind success of Cessna 340A operations

The Sangguniang Bayan of Camalig has honored the individuals, volunteers and agencies that led the Cessna plane crash search, rescue and retrieval operations.
Through a resolution vested by the Sangguniang Bayan of Camalig led by Vice Mayor Ahrdail “Ding” Baldo, those who joined the operation received a recognition following the success of the 13-day intensive Cessna 340A search, rescue and retrieval operations.
Mayor Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo, the Cessna operations incident commander, conveyed his appreciation in a message, highlighting the selfless dedication of the responders.
These include Albay Climbing Community (ACC), Mayon Mountaineers, Federation of Bicol Mountaineers Inc., Mountaineering Federation of the Philippines, Inc., and the Wilderness Search and Rescue (WISAR), local guides, Naval Special Operations Group (NAVSOG).
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army, Energy Development Corporation (EDC), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine Air Force (PAF), Philippine Navy, and other volunteers were also recognized.
“Hindi magiging successful ang operation na ito kung walang cooperation ng bawat isa,” Mayor Caloy said.
