Morillo joins 8th Purple Action Day

Calapan City Mayor Malou Morillo has joined the 8th Purple Action Day, a Kickoff Celebration of Women’s Month 2023.
The event was organized by the Gabriela as well as the Commission on Human Rights and Sarilaya at the Liwasang Diokno CHR Diliman, Quezon City, March 1.
“Mayor Morillo along with 𝗠𝘀. 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗼, 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, also joined the Purple March, a solidarity walk, from Philcoa Overpass to Liwasang Diokno as this day marked the Launching of the Purple Movement as a call for more women participation in politics and governance,” said Morillo’s office.
Also present in the eveny was Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and CHR Commissioner Atty. Faydah Dumarpa.
Morillo also led the Signing of Commitment of different women’s organizations, local government, and Commission on Human Rights on supporting women empowerment.
In line with the Philippine Commission on Women’s Theme “𝑾𝑬 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚”, this year’s celebration Purple Action is focused on the theme, “𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑲𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏, 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒊𝒑𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒏”.
