Rep. Arnan Panaligan announced that his bill seeking to convert Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital into thr Mimaropa Regional Hospital has been approved by a House panel.

“GOOD NEWS! House Bill No. 2116, Converting the Oriental Mindoro Provincal Hospital Into the MIMAROPA REGIONAL HOSPITAL under the Department of Health na ating inakda at inihain sa Kongreso, lusot at pasado na sa Committee on Health ng House of Representatives,” said the lawmaker.

“Ito ay Round 1 pa lamang, ang sunod ay Round 2 sa plenaryo ng kamara kung saan inaasahan din natin na ito ay makakalusot,” he added.

Panaligan said that the round three will happen at the upper chamber, the Senate of the Philippines.

“Mahaba pa ang proseso subalit nagagalak tayo at umusad ang ating panukalang batas at nakalusot sa first round,” he said.

“Inaasahan natin na kung ang kasalukuyang provincial hospital ay magiging regional hospital sa pangangasiwa ng Department of Health ay magiging mas maayos ang serbisyo na maipagkakaloob nito,” he added.
