Palawan Rep. Egay Lim Salvame hails opening of new Tourist Rest Area in the province

Palawan is becoming an even more tourist-friendly place.
Palawan Rep. Egay Lim Salvame joined the groundbreaking for the construction of the province’s first Tourist Rest Area and hailed this project.
The Tourist Rest Area will be constructed in the town of Roxas and will serve travelers going to and from Puerto Princesa, Roxas, San Vicente, El Nido, Dumaran at Araceli.
It will have a coffee shop, pasalubong and souvenir store, tourist information area, charging station at clean restrooms.
In a Facebook post, Salvame noted that this is a flagship program of the Department of Tourism and President Bongbong Marcos.
He thanked them for this undertaking that would bring progress to Palawan’s first district.
Tourists are more than welcome to Palawan!
“UPDATE | Personal kong dinaluhan ang “groundbreaking ceremony” ng kauna-unahang Tourist Rest Area (TRA) dito sa ating lalawigan nakaraang Byernes, kasama mismo si Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Atty. Ma. Esperanza Christina Garcia-Frasco at TIEZA Chief Operating Officer at General Manager Mark T. Lapid.
Itatayo sa bayan ng Roxas, ang nasabing proyekto ay magsisilbing kumportableng pahingahan ng mga pasahero at turistang babyahe papunta at pauwi ng Puerto Princesa, Roxas, San Vicente, El Nido, Dumaran at Araceli. Magkakaroon ito ng coffee shop, pasalubong at souvenir store, tourist information area, charging station at malinis na CR (washroom).
Ang TRA ay ‘flagship program’ nila DOT Secretary Frasco at President Bongbong Marcos sa sektor ng turismo. Kasama ang pagpapalakas ng sektor ng turismo sa ating mga development programs.
Dumalo rin sa nasabing seremonya sila Cong. Jose C. Alvarez, DOT Regional Director Dr. Azucena Pallugna, provincial officials, municipal mayors at iba pang mga opisyal ng iba’t-ibang bayan sa ating lalawigan.
