DPWH touts new bridge project in Aborlan, Palawan

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a 30-lineal meter bridge in Barangay Apurawan, Municipality of Aborlan, Palawan.

The project now improves accessibility and provides ease of travel to locals and motorists the said barangay.

Citing a report by DPWH Region IV-B Director Gerald A. Pacanan, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the New Hilipad Bridge along Aramaywan-Berong-Puerto Princesa Road facilitates safer mobility of people, goods, and services.

“This new Hilipad Bridge helps lessen accidents and road inconvenience, therefore increasing potential for economic and tourism development in the area,” said Bonoan.

The project was implemented by DPWH Palawan 3rd District Engineering Office, headed by District Engineer Amelia B. Fajardo.

The two lane bridge project also includes 6-meter approach slabs on both ends, internally lighted monodirectional pavement leveling marker, reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings, and metal guardrails.
