Palawan SP seeks establishment of Provincial Muslim Affairs Program

The Palawan Sangguniang Panlalawigan has approved a measure seeking to establish the Muslim Affairs Program.

The SP approved on final reading the Resolution No. 726-23 entitled “A resolution earnestly requesting Hon. Governor V. Dennis M. Socrates for establishment of the Provincial Muslim Affairs Program in Palawan.”

The said resolution was authored by Board Member Al-Nashier M. Ibba.

Ibba said that the office would be the primary body that will focus on the concerns of muslims in Palawan

“Marami tayong mga kapatid na muslim na kapag nangangailangan ng tulong ay lumalapit dito sa City Government. Dito sa Provincial Government po Mr. Chair ay wala pa pong opisina ang mga kapatid nating muslim kung saan kung may kailangan silang mga tulong at mga activity tulad ng mga Hari Raya ay wala silang malapitan,” said Ibba.

“Kaya naman nakipag-coordinate na rin ako sa ating Office of the Governor na under sa opisina niya ay magkaroon ng special program na tatawaging Provincial Muslim Affairs,” the board member added.
