Tinambac Councilor Jonas Soltes lauds decision to make Fidel a main character in GMA series

Tinambac Councilor Jonas Soltes is a fan of the GMA show Maria Clara at Ibarra, and he likes the direction it is going.

In a Facebook post, Soltes said he was happy that Fidel, the character played by David Licauco, has been promoted to the lead role.

This took place as the show moved on to the chapters of the darker Rizal novel El Filibusterismo.

Soltes said this was a step in the right direction. It is just right to reward talent, he said.

Safe to say he’s going to keep on watching the show!

“Promoting David Licauco to lead role as Fidel while ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ progresses to the darker chapters of El Filibusterismo is just right. Talent must be rewarded always,” Soltes posted.
