Albay library launches ‘The Book Nook’

The Albay Provincial Library and Information Center (APLIC) marked the World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) 2023 with the launching and ribbon cutting ceremony of The Book Nook Legazpi City.

The said initiative is a project of the National Book Development Board at the Provincial Library.

In her message, Ms. Amylen Bautista, RL, encouraged students to visit the provincial library as they can now accommodate children after the prohibition during the global pandemic.

During the launch, pupils from Albay Central School and Bagumbayan Central School were invited to participate in the read-aloud session.

Vice Governor Baby Glenda O. Bongao served as the story leader.

Also present were student-teachers from Daraga Community College.

Albay Governor Atty. Edcel Greco Lagman, who was represented by Provincial Administrator Ms. Sheina Onrubia-Dela Cruz, expressed his support to the said project.
