Albay Governor Edcel “Grex” Lagman will be launching his own basketball tournament next month.

The Capitol announced the opening of the Go For Gold Inter-Town Basketball Tournament, Gov. Edcel “Grex” Lagman Cup 2023 on February 15.

“The Provincial Youth and Sports Development Office-Albay (PYSDO), headed by Mr. Rhondon Ricafort will lead the sports events, which aim to promote camaraderie and sportsmanship between Albayano basketball players,” the Albay PIO sais.

Ricafort emphasized that the said tournament will be strictly open to all Albayanos.

The dates to remember are as follows:

* February 1, 2023 – Deadline for submission of forms and screening for players 18 years old and above

* February 10, 2023 – Deadline for submission of forms and screening for players 40 years old and above

* February 17, 2023 – Opening Parade
