Gov. Socrates inks deal with Linapacan, Narra on infrastructure development

Palawan Governor V. Dennis Socrates has signed a separate memorandum of agreements with the local government units of Linapacan and Narra.

Socrates inked the deal with Linapacan Mayor Emil Neri and Narra Mayor Gerandy B. Danao.

“Layunin ng nasabing kasunduan na mas mahusay at epektibong maipatupad ang mga serbisyo at proyektong pang-imprastraktura sa naturang mga bayan sa pakikipagtulungan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa pamamagitan nang pagpapahiram ng ilang heavy equipments na magagamit sa implementasyon ng mga programa at proyekto ng nasabing LGU,” said the Palawan Public Information Office.

The provincial government lent 2 units of Bulldozer; 2 units of Hydraulic Excavator; 2 units of Dump Truck, and 1 unit of Compactor to Linapacan.

Meanwhile, Narra town got a Backhoe; Dump Truck; Compactor and 2 units of Bulldozers.

To recall, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan enacted Ordinance No. 3069-22 or Establishing Inter-Local Cooperation for better Infrastructure between the Provincial Government of Palawan and all Municipal Local Government Units and Barangay Local Governments within the jurisdiction of the Province and further authorizing the Governor to enter into and sign memorandum of agreement for such purpose.

“Nakasaad sa naturang ordinansa ang pag-agapay ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan sa mga Municipal Local Government at Barangay Local Government Units sa pamamagitan nang pagpapahiram ng mga heavy equipment trucks para sa pagsasakatuparan ng mga proyektong magbibigay ng pangunahing serbisyo sa mga Palaweño,” said the PIO.
