Lagman recognizes contributions of Albayano Filipino-Chinese in Albay
This Chinese New Year, Albay Governor Edcel Grex Lagman has recognized the contributions of Albayano Filipino-Chinese in the province.
Lagman said that we should celebrate the “ties that bind us” as a community.
“Our province is primed for progress and development. This will eventually result in better lives for all Albayanos. We celebrate this new year to make sure we recognize the ties that bind us together as a one family, as one community and as one province,” said Lagman.
“Let us also remember the very important contributions of the Albayano Filipino-Chinese leaders and communities in our province. Their enduring commitment to all Albayanos is truly appreciated,” he added.
He also took the celebration to remind everyone of helping the less fortunate Albayanos.
“May this auspicious day not only remind us of our blessings but also make us to “pay it forward” by actively helping our economically disadvantaged province mates by acts big or small,” said the governor.
“As Albayanos, let us be guided by our common Filipino heritage—-and well as by our respective Chinese ancestries—-for a renewed sense of solidarity,” he added.
“Here’s to all our hopes and to the realization of all our dreams for a better tomorrow for Albay,” he continued.
