The Department of Health has reported 43 COVID-19 cases in Bicol Region from January 1 to 7, bringing the active cases to 1,314.
The distribution of the newly reported cases is as follows:

Meanwhile, the Health department also logged 130 new recoveries during the same period. The total number of recoveries currently stood at 62,183.
Five new fatalities, all of which came from Naga City, were also reported, to push the death toll to 2,678.
The DOH explained that the report does not reflect the actual date of death but the of deaths are based on validated reports with death certificates.
“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
