Calapan Mayor Malou Morillo shows off new designs of buri bags sold in the city’s markets

Lovers of local products in Calapan have new options to choose from.

In a Facebook post, Calapan Mayor Malou Morillo showed off the new designs of the buri bags being sold at the Kalap Product Center at the first level of the City Public Market.

Morillo said these bags don’t just look good, they are eco-friendly as well.

She also reminded city residents that the use of plastic bags is prohibited, which is why the buri bags are a good alternative to use when going to the market.

Buying the buri bags would also help the local residents who make these, she added.
