Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman took a trip down memory lane, recalling how kids welcomed the New Year.

In a Twitter post, Lagman remembered that kids played ‘booming bamboo canons’ during his boyhood in Albay. The bamboo canons were powered by kerosene.

“Memories from my boyhood: When I was a young boy in Albay, kids played during the Yuletide Season with booming bamboo canons powered by kerosene,” Lagman said.

The lawmaker added that “ There were hardly any accidents then, and gas was very cheap. It was a lot of fun!”
