Palawan SP asks Palawenos to refrain from buying meat online
The Palawan Sangguniang Panlalawigan has asked the Palawenos to refrain from patronizing meat products that can be purchased online amid the threat of swine flu and other animal diseases.
The SP approved Proposed Resolution No. 510-22 entitled: “Earnestly enjoining everyone to employ measures and refrain from buying online meat products in view of the spread and contamination of the dreaded African Swine Fever (ASF), and other animal diseases such as Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Avian Influenza.”
Board Member Ariston D. Arzaga authored the said resolution. The said measure aims to keep Palawan under the “green zone” or free from African Swine Fever (ASF), Avian Infuenza (Bird Flu) and Foot and Mouth Disease.
The board member also said that the resolution aims to support the efforts of the Provincial Veterenary Office against the diseases.
