DPWH Regional Office 5 Director Virgilio C. Eduarte reported to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan that the widening of the bridge into two way traffic provides for a much safer and faster access to motorists, specifically those going to upland barangays of Ligao.

“Tastas Bridge, which is along Sta. Cruz – Pandan Road, will serve as a faster alternate route for travelers to and from Pio Duran, Albay as it traverses the Albay – Camarines Sur Diversion Road,”said Eduarte.

This bridge has a total length of 60.60 meters, a width of 7.32 meters, and a 0.76-meter shoulder for pedestrian crossing on both sides.

Implemented by the DPWH Albay 3rd District Engineering Office, the widened bridge was built in the amount of P50 million.
