Ingat! Libon Vice Mayor Markgregor Sayson reminds public to be wary of text scams claiming they won something

There’s something about the holiday season that brings out the scammers.

Libon Vice Mayor Markgregor Sayson warned the public against falling for text and messenger scams.

In a Facebook post, Sayson advised the public not to believe messages sent to them claiming they won something, and then asking them to shell out money to get their prize.

He said that if they really won, there would be no need for them to send money.

He issued the warning as he shared that three people had already asked for his help about this issue.

“FYI po-Marami nanaman po ang nagsusulputang text and messenger scams and modus. Huwag po basta maniniwala. Kung talagang panalo hindi po dapat kayo ang magpapadala ng Pera. Tatlo na po ang sumangguni sakin about diyan,” Sayson posted.
