Rosal leads opening of Fiesta Bicolandia Travel and Trade Fair

Albay Governor Noel Rosal recently led the opening of the Bicolandia Travel and Trade Fair of the Department of Tourism Region 5 (DOT 5) with the participants and representatives from the six provinces of Bicol Region.

The event was held at the Ayala Malls Legazpi.

In his speech, Rosal encouraged the attendees from Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Catanduanes to strengthen collaborative efforts in promoting the tourism industry in Bicol Region.

He also expressed his support and commended the DOT 5 and the Provincial Tourism Offices of every province in Bicol along with DOT Regional Director Herbie Aguas for the successful and unending promotion of the tourism industry.

“The travel and trade fair incorporated various events and activities such as cultural presentations, tourism summit, Bicol travel and tourism fair, and food/product demonstrations hosted by the different provinces in Bicol,” the Albay PIO said.

“Booths that feature various products, services and activities were set up on ground floor and second floor of Ayala Malls Legazpi which can be tried and experienced by locals and visitors,” it added.

DOT Secretary Maria Christina Frasco and representatives of governors from different Bicol provinces also participated in the said event.
