Gov Rosal receives sacks of rice from Chinese embassy
Albay Governor Noel Rosal received 900 sacks of rice from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Philippines.
The turnover was made in coordination with the Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. – Albay Chapter headed by Mr. John Hong.
Joining Rosal during the activity was Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Vivien A. Cea, and Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office head, Dr. Cedric Daep.
“The Chinese Embassy aims to provide supplies of rice to the relief operations for the Albayanos after the Severe Tropical Storm Paeng hit the country on October 28, 2022,” the Albay Provincial Information Office said.
In another development, Rosal graced the the International Biosphere Day Celebration held at the FICC Amphitheater, Bicol University.
Puerto Galera and Palawan Biosphere Reserves delegates from the Philippine National Commission for UNESCO, also known as PH NatCom or UNACOM, spearheaded event.
Aside from Rosal, President of Bicol University Arnulfo Macarinas likewise graced the event.
“They expressed their views and support for the delegates and eventually took part in conversations, notably those concerning the importance of protecting the biosphere reserves where sustainable economic strategies are formed,” the PIO said.
