Odiongan Councilor Kaila Yap thrilled to meet Noel Cabangon

Odiongan Councilor Kaila Yap loves music, so she was thrilled when she got to meet the legendary Noel Cabangon.

In a Facebook post, Yap said that she was already reading about his life and his works when she was in high school.

Her grade 10 class also sang his song “Kanlungan,” and she served as the guitarist.

It was such a treat for her to hear him sing in person and to talk to him.

She had a fangirl moment!

“As a musician, it’s such an enormous honor to personally meet and hear the legendary Sir Noel Cabangon. Way back in high school, I was just reading and studying his life and all his works, and as I reminisce, when I was in grade 10, we sang his famous song entitled “Kanlungan” and I was the guitarist. I couldn’t believe that I heard him sing in person and even talked to him.

I will forever be thankful for this opportunity. Thank you, Lord!” Yap posted.
