Sorsogon Rep. Wowo Fortes lauds Bulusan writer for winning Palanca award
Sorsogon Rep. Wowo Fortes feels proud that the province is now home to a Palanca Award winner.
In a Facebook post, Fortes congratulated John Clarence ‘Clara’ Espedido of Bulusan for winning third prize in the Palanca Awards’ Kabataan Sanaysay.
Espedido is the first Sorsoganon to receive the award.
He noted that a Palanca Award is being likened to the Pulitzer Prize and is the country’s highest literary honor in terms of prestige.
Espedido is a source of pride for the province!
