Albay VG Lagman visits Zamboanga
Albay Vice Governor Edcel “Grex” Lagman has paid a visit in the vibrant province of Zamboanga.
“Its Malay, Muslim and Spanish influences are seamlessly woven together into a beautiful cultural fabric,” said Lagman.
The official is also hoping to visit the city’s tourism offices and look at its most successful best practices that can be applied in Albay.
“Its Aeropuerto Internacional de Zamboanga welcomes its visitors in Spanish with “Bienvenidos a Zamboanga”. And its streets are named camino, paseo, etc,” he said.
“Their police cars have “policia” painted on them. Sana may Bank of Spain dito para makapag-money heist! Hehehe,” he added.
“I need to brush up on my 9 units of Spanish i took a long time ago in college. It’s because the locals here speak Chavacano which is the only Spanish-based creole languange in Asia,” he continued.
