Palawan Rep. Jose Ch. Alvarez has taken the leadership of the erstwhile ruling party PDP-Laban.

Alvarez was elected as president of the PDP-Laban last September 29. He succeeded former Energy chief Alfonso Cusi,

“Isinagawa ito kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng ika-40 anibersaryo ng pagkakatatag ng partido. Personal din itong dinaluhan ni PDP Laban Chairman at dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte,” the party said.

“Ang dating Presidente naman ng partido ay si former DOE Secretary Alfonso Cusi na ngayon ay ang tumatayong Vice Chairman,” it added.

Senator Robin Padilla: Executive Vice President

Former Cabinet Secretary Atty. Melvin Matibag: Secretary General

Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” D. Gonzales Jr.: Treasurer

Senator Bong Go: Auditor

Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez: Vice President for National Capital Region

Senator Francis Tolentino: Vice President for Luzon

Mayor Mike Rama: Vice President for Visayas

Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa: Vice President for Mindanao

The PDP-Laban has no standard bearer in the last polls but it supported the candidacy of Vice President Sara Duterte.
