VG Lagman brings services to Tabaco seniors
Albay Vice Governor Edcel “Grex” Lagman has brought services to the senior citizens from the City of Love — Tabaco City.
“Our handsome and beautiful oldies-but-goodies clients numbered around 600… Super well-attended! Thanks sa mga maurag ko na staff and support staff from the Office of the Vice Governor (OVG) for the very efficient invites,” said Lagman.
The senior citizens received free massage, free manicure and pedicure, free haircut courtesy of TESDA volunteers.
“From the DOH-RV, the OVG got the usual maintenance medicines and from the PHO vitamin-mineral supplements, respectively,@ he said.
“Thank you, RD Ernie Vera, M.D. and Dr. Rempillo, M.D. On the OVG’s end, each senior received a certificate of participation and, more importantly, grocery packs and “tokens of love” from El VG, he added.
Lagman also thanked the resource speaker SBM Glenda Ong Bongao for her comprehensive talk titled, “Tapping the Talents, Contributions and Participation of Older Persons in Society”.
“Thanks also to BM Rey Bragais for his message. Mabalos man kay Coun. Salve Estacio Balingbing, Chairperson, Committee on Senior Citizens, OSCA Head Emerita Bueno Bognalos and SC Federation President Ruben Butial for the important updates,” he said.
“Last but not the least, to my hermana Mayor Krisel Lagman who informed our clients about the benefits Tabaco seniors receive and her ideas on the creation of an Adult Care Center in Tabaco which, to my mind, is an idea whose time has come. Let’s do this,” he added.
