Rosal joins inauguration of new OWWA office in Legazpi


Albay Governor Noel Rosal has joined the blessing and inauguration of the new Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Legazpi City.

Councilor Lawrence Beltran, on behalf of Legazpi Mayor Carmen Geraldine Rosal, joined the ceremony.

In her opening message, OWWA Regional Director Jenivie Diaz-Aguallo acknowledged the presence of the event’s distinguished guests.

Present were Councilor Beltran, Ms. Ma. Zenaida Angara-Campita, CESO III, Mr. Diosdado Rañeses, PESO Manager-Legazpi City, Ms. Rafaelita Lily Nicoleta, PESO Manager-Albay, Ms. Rodresha Torallo, President Regional PESO Federation, TESDA V’s Ms. Ruth Dayawen.

Aguallo also thanked the other department heads and representatives from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), OWWA-Camarines Sur, PESO-Camarines Sur, Commission on Population (POPCOM), as well as Rosal.

“Another landmark in the city. This is what we mean by bringing the government closer to the people,” the Governor said in his short message, pertaining to the office’s new location inside Ayala Malls, located on the 4th floor.

He commended OWWA for staying true to the agency’s purpose of bringing opportunities, not only to local migrants but the families here in the province.

“After two years of lockdown, we were divided. But what makes us unique is that we Albayanos kept moving forward.”
