Camarines Sur Rep. Arnie Fuentebella remembers his lolo’s legacy

Camarines Sur Rep. Arnie Fuentebella marked the 107th birthday anniversary of his lolo by paying tribute to the latter’s accomplishments.

In a Facebook post, Fuentebella reminisced about his grandfather Gov. Felix Abad Fuentebella, who he described as a respected and esteemed statesman.

He said Gov. Fuentebella served as Congressman from 1954 to 1972, and as Camarines Sur Governor from 1976-1985.

His contributions to the province include the setting up of the Tigaon Waterworks System, Sagñay Water System, and the Tamban Water System.

He is thankful to his grandfather for serving as a good example of a public servant, he said.

His lolo’s legacy lives on!

“Remembering the birth of a humble, loving, respected, and esteemed statesman of the country — Gov. Felix Abad Fuentebella.

On this day, Gov. Fuentebella was born in 1915 in Camarines Sur to former Gobernadorcillo Mariano Fuentebella and Marta Abad. He served as Congressman from 1954-1972 and Governor of Camarines Sur from 1976-1985. His notable contributions include the setting up of the Tigaon Waterworks System, Sagñay Water System, and the Tamban Water System, among the water systems in Camarines Sur.
