Catanduanes Gov. Boboy Cua mourns death of top police official

Catanduanes Gov. Boboy Cua is mourning the death of Lt. Col. Eugenio Manondo, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration of the Catanduanes Provincial Police Office.

In a Facebook post, Cua condoled with Manondo’s family.

He also paid tribute to Manondo’s accomplishments.

He said the police official served the local police institution with proactive leadership, and was actively involved in the provincial government’s council meetings, especially those related to peace and order and disaster response.

Manondo was also his classmate in his post graduate studies in public safety and was an effective manager, a trusted colleague, and a dear friend, he said.

“I convey my deepest sadness on the untimely death of PLTCOL EUGENIO A MANONDO, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration of the Catanduanes Provincial Police Office.

As administrator, PLtCol Manondo served the local police institution with proactive leadership. He was also actively involved in various Council meetings in the provincial government, especially in peace and order, and disaster risk reduction and management concerns.

The good officer was also my classmate in post graduate studies in public safety. He was an effective manager, a trusted colleague, and a dear friend.

His remains will be transferred to his hometown in Libmanan, Camarines Sur, today, August 29, 2022.

In this time of profound grief, I send my deepest condolences to the bereaved family and the whole CATPPO,” Cua posted.
