Albay barangays to get P100K each to fund developmental projects
The 720 barangays of Albay will receive P100,000 to finance their respective development projects.
This came after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Albay (SPA) approved the recommendations of the Committee of Appropriations, headed by Board Member Raul Rosal, to augment the budget of the barangays in Albay.
“The proposed Barangay Assistance Program (Subsidy to LGUs) will be utilized to finance developmental projects which are determined by the barangay officials to be most beneficial for their residents,” said the provincial government.
The SPA has approved a total of P72-million budget.
The approved budget was part of an Appropriation Ordinance which allotted a supplemental budget of almost P258 million.
The said budget is earmarked to be used for various programs which would benefit senior citizens, indigent Albayanos, PGA employees, and the repair and delivery of supplies to various district hospitals.
