Leni turns over houses to Angat Buhay beneficiaries in Guinobatan
Former Vice President Leni Robredo has turned over houses to beneficiaries of her Angat Buhay Village in Guinobatan, Albay.
“Visited our Angat Buhay Village in Guinobatan, Albay today to formally turn over 100 houses to our beneficiaries,” said Robredo.
“Happy to see that these families have started rebuilding their lives here, after losing their homes to lahar flow during Typhoon Rolly. Parang kailan lang, Day 1 pa lang ng construction, at kasama ako at ang OVP family sa mga nagbuhos ng semento sa mga unang units na bubuuin,” she added.
The former Vice President also recognized her partners in making the project a reality.
“This was all made possible by bayanihan. Many thanks to our partners: the Local Government of Guinobatan, especially to now-Vice Mayor Ann Gemma Ongjoco; United Architects of the Philippines – Daraga-Cagsawa Chapter; CC Buencamino Architect; Bicol University College of Engineering and Department of Social Work; JCI Legazpi; and the late Mr. Nestor Deocareza, who helped us manage the project before he passed away,” she said.
“With their guidance, our beneficiaries also played a big role in building their new homes on safer grounds,” she added.
