Rosal lauds Albayano chess prodigy
Albay Governor Noel Rosal has recognized the brilliance of a young Albayano chess player who recently brought honor to the province.
Rosal hailed chess sensation Bince Rafael Operiano for placing second in the National Age Group Chess Championship.
The tournament was held last July 19–24 at Robinsons Place, Malolos, Bulacan.
“The eight-year-old Operiano from Barangay Busac in Oas town was impressive on his way to the semi-finals before succumbing to a much better board tactician in the finals of 10-under age-group,” the governor’s office said.
Vice Gov. Edcel Grex Lagman and Board Members Baby Glenda Ong Bongao, Jacem Palmiano, and Vince Baltazar also congratulated the promising kid during the flag raising ceremony of Capitol workers Monday.
