Catanduanes Vice Gov. Boss Te Cua wants to make sure the province would live up to its name as the Happy Island by making sure its visitors are safe.’
Cua met with the Acting Provincial Director, Col. Benjamin Balingbing Jr. and Chief PIU, Col. Joefino Titong Jr. to discuss the proposed resolution and memorandum of agreement for the formation of Tourism Police Units in Catanduanes.
Cua said the province has much to offer tourists, including beaches, caves, hills, and resorts, and is also rich in biodiversity.
It is also home to the grandest festivals in the Philippines, the Catandungan and Abaca Festivals, he said.
The visitors who would come to enjoy all these must be able to feel secure in the province, he added.

Cua yesterday, July 27, for the creation of a resolution and memorandum of agreement for the planned formation of Tourism Police Units in the Province of Catanduanes.
