Gov. Presby distributes cash aid to barangay health workers

Marinduque Governor Presby Velasco led the distribution of financial assistance to Barangay Health Workers.
“Bilang pagkilala sa serbisyo at sakripisyo ng ating masisipag na Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) na nagsisilbing barangay frontliners lalo sa panahon ng pandemya, tayo po ay naglaan ng pondo upang mabigyan sila ng financial assistance sa pamamagitan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Office,” said the governor.
The beneficiaries received P3,000 each.
The breakdown of beneficiaries is as follows:
Boac – 242 BHWs
Mogpog – 172 BHWs
Gasan – 140 BHWs
Buenavista – 130 BHWs
Torrijos – 225 BHWs
Sta. Cruz – 424 BHWs
The beneficiaries also received food packs.
“Nakasama po natin sa pamamahagi sina Atty. Rommel Fernandez (representative ng inyong lingkod), Mr. Blair Dimaano (representative of Vice Gov. Lyn Angeles) at Dr. Gerry Caballes- Provincial Health Officer,” said Velasco.
“Nagpapasalamat po tayo kay Cong. Lord Allan Velasco at sa DSWD sa pangunguna ni Ms. Helen Alcoba sa pagiging kaagapay sa pagpapaabot ng tulong sa ating mga minamahal na mga kababayan,” he added.
