Palawan Board Member Ryan Maminta celebrates launch of Listo Palaweño mobile app
Palawan Board Member Ryan Maminta is glad that emergency response in the province is improving.
Maminta joined the recent launch of the Listo Palaweño mobile app.
In a Facebook post, Maminta said that in 2019, he filed a resolution seeking to improve disaster response in the province.
He sought better sharing of relevant data and information and the use of technology to achieve this.
Now, his proposal has borne fruit as the province has launched the Listo Palaweño mobile application for disaster risk reduction and management.
The app can be used to report incidents and other emergency situations in the province.
It can also provide alert warnings and offers information for preparedness as well as directories of emergency facilities.
Maminta said he hopes that Palawan would next have a redundant communication system with a central command and backbone.
It’s always best to be ready!
“LOOK: Photos from Grand Launching of LISTO PALAWEÑO MOBILE APPLICATION for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM).
Maraming salamat, Gov. Jose Alvarez at Gov. God Bless, Palawan!
#ListoPalaweño,” Maminta posted.
