Coron Mayor Mayor Marjo Reyes taps experts to boost tourism

Coron Mayor Mayor Marjo Reyes wants to make sure he’s getting help from the best in developing tourism in the town.

In a Facebook post, Reyes said he met with project leaders and groups of researches from the National Research Council of the Philippines.

He said he believes that the town’s tourism program would be more effective if he would consult experts that could help craft a clear, comprehensive, and fresh strategy.

This would be vital in reviving the tourism industry after the pandemic, he said.

“Matapos ang buong araw na kaliwat kanang meeting at pagiikot sa mga barangay ay isinama rin po natin sa aking schedule ang pakikipag usap sa mga project leaders at grupo ng mga researchers mula National Research Council of the Philippines sa pangunguna ni Dr. Lanndon Ocampo.

Naniniwala po tayo na mas magiging epek­tibo ang pagpapasigla sa turismo ng ating bayan kung may gabay at konsultasyon mula sa mga eksperto na magiging katuwang natin sa pagbuo ng mas malinaw, komprehensibo at makabagong istratehiya.

Malaking tulong po ito sa ating turismo na unti-unti nang bumaba­ngon mula sa epekto ng pandemya.

Mas pasisiglahin po natin ang industriya ng turismo, lokal na negosyo, at pasyalan o mga tourism estate sa iba’t ibang destinasyon sa ating bayan,” Reyes posted.
