VG Lagman mourns Andaya’s sudden passing

Albay Vice Governor Edcel “Grex” Lagman has mourned the passing of former Camarines Sur Rep. Rolando Andaya.

Lagman and his fellow Bicolano Andaya worked briefly together in Congress.

“Rest in Peace, Nonoy. You fought the good fights. That’s what matter,” said Lagman.

Andaya was found lifeless in his Naga home on the morning of June 30.

“While our interaction in the 16th Congress was limited, every time you offered your opinion on overriding issues there’s always substance to it,” he said.

Lagman also filed a resolution expressing condolences to Andaya’s family from the Albay Sangguniang Panlalawigan

“Here’s the least the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Albay (SPA) can do. The words and sentences herein all seek to honor your name as a distinguished Bicolano,” he said.

The resolution partly read: “The untimely death of a brilliant solon who had lived his life in service to the Bicol Region and the entire country to improve the quality of life of Filipinos is a great loss not only to his family but also to Albayanos whom he had served, and the entire Filipino nation he had touched.”
