Bicol records 82 COVID-19 cases from June 26-July 2

The Department of Health has logged 82 new COVID-19 cases in Bicol Region from June 26 to July 2.

Latest DOH bulletin showed that there are 401 active cases, while the cumulative cases rose to 59,272.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

ALBAY: 37 (45.12%)
26 – Legazpi City
4 – Daraga
2 – Guinobatan
2 – Ligao City
1 – Pio Duran
1 – Polangui
1 – Tabaco City

CAMARINES NORTE: 2 (2.44%)
2 – Daet

CAMARINES SUR: 17 (20.73%)
7 – Naga City
5 – Libmanan
3 – Cabusao
1 – Nabua
1 – Ragay

CATANDUANES: 13 (15.85%)
9 – Virac
2 – San Andres
1 – Bato
1 – Viga

MASBATE: 0 (0%)

SORSOGON: 13 (15.85%)
6 – Sorsogon City
3 – Matnog
2 – Gubat
1 – Casiguran
1 – Prieto Diaz

The Department also reported 33 new recoveries during the period as the total number of recoveries rose to 56,271.

On the other hand, death toll climbed to 2,600 after six fatali were logged.

The DOH explained that the report does not reflect the actual date of deaths as report of deaths is based on validated reports with death certificates.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the department.
