Albay Vice Gov. Grex Lagman said the first few hours of his second term were auspicious as he spent these serving as wedding sponsor.

In a Facebook post, Lagman said he believes attending a wedding is a lucky way to start his fresh term.

He has always liked serving as ninong, and this wedding was extra special because of the timing, he said.

He thanked his newest set of inaanaks for inviting him and congratulated them on their union.

Love truly wins, he said.

He said the couple, who have children from previous relationships, would further complete their family when they have their new daughter.

Lagman also said he is looking forward to more interactions with his constituents.

He enjoys witnessing the power of love!

“The first couple of hours after the start of my 2nd term as Vice Governor (noon of today, 30 June 2022) was truly auspicious.

Being a wedding sponsor is always a lucky way to start one’s official duties as an elective official. I value my being a marital godfather. But this one’s extra special because of the timing. Thanks to my brand new godchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Burac and Jonela Broso Biron-Burac! There was so much heartfelt emotion when they tied the knot before the laws of man and God in Holy Family Parish Church Panal Tabaco City. Congratulations and best wishes!

Love truly wins. It may take some time but eventually it always does. Jonela has 2 sons from a previous relationship. Ryan also has one son from a past union. Now that they’re legally married to each other, their family will be made more complete when they are blessed with a common daughter soon. I know this will be their answered prayer.

My fellow ninongs who were present in church were primes Konsi Luis Renir Burce, Kons. July Azada representing Governor Noel Ebriega Rosal, Josef Pablo Kambal Bocalbos and Gene Parcia. My partner in signing the Certificate of Marriage was Ms. Roxanne Marie Parcia Berces.

Here’s to more fortunate interactions with my constituents in the province! Here’s to the power of love!
