Rizal, Occidental Mindoro has recorded an increase in dengue cases since the rainy season began.

But Mayor Sonny Pablo assured his constituents that the local government is working to curb the spread of the mosquito-borne disease.

In a Facebook post, Pablo said the local government has conducted misting operations in areas with a high number of cases.

It also offers free dengue tests to those exhibiting symptoms of the disease, he said.

He encouraged the people of Rizal to clean their surroundings and to cover stagnant water that could serve as a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

COVID-19 isn’t the only enemy. We have to watch out for dengue as well!
