DOH reports 15 COVID cases in Bicol from June 12-18

The Department of Health has reported 15 new COVID-19 cases in Bicol Region from June 12 to June 18.

The latest figure brought the active cases to 348, while the cumulative cases in the region since the start of the pandemic rose to 59,158.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

CAMARINES NORTE: 1 (6.67%)
1 – Daet

CAMARINES SUR: 3 (20%)
2 – Naga City
1 – Tigaon

CATANDUANES: 6 (40%)
4 – San Andres
2 – Virac

SORSOGON: 5(33.33%)
3 – Juban
1 – Prieto Diaz
1 – Sorsogon City

The region also saw 9 new patients recovering from the disease, pushing the total number of recoveries to 56,216.

During the same period, no death was recorded. Death toll currently stands at 2,594.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus, the DOH said.
