Masbate City marks death anniversary of cousins killed by NPA landmine, unveils monument
The Masbate City government joined the recent commemoration of the first death anniversary of cousins Nolvin and Keith Absalon, who were killed by a landmine planted by communist guerillas.
To mark the event, the city government also unveiled the Keith Absalon Monument at the Masbate Sports Complex.
Keith was a Far Eastern University football player.
The city government said its thoughts and prayers go out to the cousins and to the other victims of acts of terrorism.
It hoped for justice for them.

Today marks the first year death anniversary of the unjustly killing of the two Absalons by the Local Communist Terrorist Group in Brgy. Anas and to commemorate it, the Keith Absalon Monument was unveiled this afternoon at the Masbate Sports Complex.
The city government’s thoughts and prayers go not only to the cousins but also to the countless others who were victims of this blatant act of terrorism and hopes that at some point, there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
