Palawan board members are pushing for additional incentives for barangay volunteers in the province.

Three board members filed the Proposed Resolution No. 076-22 titled “Resolution requesting Gov. Jose Ch. Alvarez, Province of Palawan, to provide and effect the increase of monthly incentives of all barangay volunteer workers in the entire province by one thousand (PHP1,000) pesos.”

The said measure was authored by Board Members Ryan D. Maminta, Leoncio ‘Onsoy’ Ola and Juan Antonio E. Alvarez.

Beneficiaries of the resolution include Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Barangay Environment, Agriculture and Nutrition Scholars (BEANS), Barangay Veterinary Aides (BVA), Barangay Malaria Microscopists (BMM), Child Development Workers (CDW).

The Committee on Appropriations and the Committee on Health will tackle the measure next week.
